Taking inspiration from the latest trends and research in colour psychology, global modular flooring manufacturer Interface is launching ta new range – Contemplation.
Discussing the influences and research behind this new collection, Mandy Leeming, Design and Development Manager for Interface EMEA, explained: “Workspaces as we know them are changing and are essentially becoming an extension of our homes. There is now a real need for environments that focus on the physical, cognitive and emotional well-being of workers, and colour is an essential part of that.
With the concept of Hygge as a guide, Contemplation takes its lead from the timeless simplicity of homely Scandinavian interiors, offering a muted colour palette to create a warming, homely interior with subdued yet versatile colours.
The geometric design complements Interface’s best-selling Composure range, which was first launched in 2014, and offers a series of neutral colour combinations for use in commercial spaces. Inspired by the elegance of subtle pastel colour tones, Contemplation is a great background carpet with a design influenced by tweeds.
“Using a variety of colours to define specific spaces or ‘zones’ is crucial for the visual and mental stimulation of workers” Mandy explained. “Not only does it encourage co-creation and collaboration, it also gives workers the option to move around a space and choose their ideal setting for different types of work.”
Available in 12 different colours, the Contemplation range offers varying amounts of contrast and aesthetically pleasing design options.
Contemplation requires an ashlar, brick or non-directional installation method.
